THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW - HEALTH / LIFESTYLE

Here is a list of things that I think are interesting or a list of contacts that I think should be readily available without bleeding from your face on Google.

1: Acupuncture
I suffered with a random foot ache for 2 years and no one could help me, until I found Dr. Thomas Jahn.
Through cupping and acupuncture, my foot hasn't felt any pain in years.
I go to Thomas with a multitude of weird aches and pains as well as medicine for when I get sick (the last time being November 2010 when I took chinese medicine for flu)
With over 18 years of Chinese medicine studies, Thomas is experienced in Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Chinese Herbal Medicine (internal & topical), Cupping Therapy, Gua Sha Friction Therapy, Tui Na Massage & Acupressure, Qi Gong Thereapy, Xing Yi Quan internal martial arts and Tai Ji Quan internal martial arts.

Basically, he's awesome.
He can help you with whatever you have going on.
He's based at 3 Firdale Avenue, Gardens, Cape Town.

2: Myog Frozen Yoghurt
On Kloof street, corner of Weltevreden and Kloof, there lies a frozen yoghurt place.
You can have a milkshake (Yummytella is the best) or frozen yoghurt with the toppings of your choice.

They are open from 10am till 10pm mon - sat and 12pm - 10pm on sunday.
They have free wifi and a happy hour from 7pm till 8pm and loyalty cards!
103 Kloof Street

3: Frankie Fenners Meat Market
Real meat, real people.
Frankie Fenners have the best range of free range, happy meat.
"Acorn-fed pork, 100% free-range lamb, grass-fed beef and pasture-reared chicken"

Every week, they have a different range of products to choose from.
I've ordered from Frankie Fenners a couple of times. You get that real personal touch feeling when dealing with them. You cook the meat with love and savour every bite because you know exactly where it came from. None of those creepy mass produced feelings you get when you pick something up at the chain stores.

Focusing on selling all cuts of the animal, they also have some recipe ideas to share on their website.
Order online, chat, have a Deluxe coffee, made by Msizi, upon your collection.
Extras on sale include vouchers, old school T-sauce, apricot mustard and pickled onion!
Mon - Fri 8am - 5:30pm
Sat 10am - 1pm

4: Honest Chocolate
Chocolate that's good for you. Seriously.
Focusing on raw and sugar free, this chocolate is high in taste and low in "bad stuff"
Read more about raw cacao here

The slabs are wrapped in beautifully illustrated paper by local illustrators and make the perfect gift.
Anthony and Michael often release new flavours and slabs as well as seasonal specials, such as a rabbit cameo chocolate for Easter.
My favourite is the "don't be afraid of the dark" 80% slab with wrapper by my favourite artist, Michael Taylor.

Visit these two gentlemen at 66 Wale Street for a free tasting.
